For the first time in the mainline series, you play a criminal couple — Lucia Caminos and Jason Duval. The official premise: an easy score goes wrong, and the two are pulled into a conspiracy across the state of Leonida.
Engine & technology
GTA 6 runs on Rockstar’s RAGE engine (latest iteration, dubbed “RAGE 9” in coverage). Trailer 1 (December 2023) and Trailer 2 (May 6, 2025), which drew 475M+ views in 24 hours.
Online mode
Rockstar officially calls GTA 6 “a single-player experience.” A separate online mode is expected after launch but is not confirmed.
